Hypnosis is a process for emotional reframing. Hypnotic processes to address panic attacks and phobias are solution-focused brief therapy approaches which can be effective in as few as three sessions. In addition, the physical aspect of hypnosis, which involves relaxation to Theta (a brain wave cycle of 5 to 8 Hertz) stimulates a natural relaxation response involving the release of beta-endorphins and serotonin, accompanied by a reduction in cortisol, and thus is physically stress-reducing. Hypnotic processes are similar to guided imagery or functional relaxation processes used in Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists,  School Counselors, and Social Workers will receive 4 CEUs for this workshop.
Tuition is $80 per participant in advance, $100 per participant at the door.  For three or more participants from the same organization the fee is $60 per participant in advance.  Credit cards and checks are accepted.
