My golf handicap is between 0 and 5 because of Watermark Hypnosis.
I've been playing golf for more than 50 years. I live on a golf course, so I'm out practicing or playing at least five times a week. Golf has been my escape from the everyday stress of life. But over the past couple of years I developed a negative attitude when it came to short putts. For some reason I couldn't make the ball go anywhere near the hole. Anxiety kept me from focusing. I was actually nervous on the golf course, which was totally out of character for me. My handicap inched up to a 9. I didn't know how to shut the negative thoughts out.
Watermark helped me understand that my anxiety and nervousness came from a high-stress environment at work. They helped me realize I can use my mind to accomplish what I want on the green. Watermark's coaching and personal sessions got my mind and body in tune, so I can enjoy playing golf again.
I came to Watermark because for golf, but I discovered that my short game was the least of my worries. I found out that stress was also causing some of my high blood pressure problems. The program at Watermark actually helped me improve my blood pressure readings. With my medicines my best readings were somewhere between 139 and 140 over 88 to 95. Since I've been through the program and really keeping up with what I've learned, I'm averaging 125/75, and I've had as low a reading of 111/67. Watermark helped me change other bad habits, like drinking too much coffee and eating junk food. I'm exercising more and I have a tremendous amount of energy each day. I've lost weight and my high blood pressure has dropped. My doctor was totally amazed when I made my last visit.
The stresses that used to get me to fly off the handle at work I now just take in stride. In my job there are a lot of situations where you have to come up with a quick solution to a problem. I'm able to think more clearly and put solutions into an easy-to-understand form for others. The change has totally amazed me.
Now I look forward to playing golf because I can use my skills and play well. Before I went to Watermark, I felt like a runaway freight train looking for a place to crash. Watermark has given me the ability to step back anytime I feel pressured, whether it's on the golf course or on the job, and see things in a different light.
